What Is IMAT?

The IMAT (International Medical Admissions Test) is the entry test for admission to English-taught medicine (MBBS) and surgery programs at Italian public universities. How to Prepare for IMAT

Biology

FSc Biology covers most of what you need, but depth and question style are different. Focus on:

• Cell biology and molecular biology (very heavily tested)
• Genetics and inheritance
• Anatomy and physiology (human systems)
• Ecology and classification

Chemistry

• Organic chemistry is critical — FSc students often find this the hardest section
• Chemical bonding, equilibrium, and kinetics are heavily tested
• Focus on university-level general chemistry concepts beyond FSc scope

Critical Thinking

This is the section most Pakistani students underestimate. It tests logical reasoning, argument analysis, and inference — skills not typically taught in Pakistan's FSc curriculum. Dedicated practice with Cambridge Critical Thinking resources is essential.
